  crane hire launches access franchise

New CBD client New Zealand Crane Hire in August launched its New Zealand Access franchise at the NZ Business Opportunities and Franchise Expo at Auckland Showground. CBD is helping to promote New Zealand Access to potential franchisees.

New Zealand Crane Hire has in five years taken the former Northland Port Corporation owned company Central Cranes and reshaped it into New Zealand’s leading crane hire company. Owners Steve Handyside and Deane Manley have used their experience in building the crane hire company to create a new operation, New Zealand Access, which hires out scissor lifts, z-booms, s-booms and trailer booms.

New Zealand Crane Hire will continue to run the Auckland-based New Zealand Access business but is now seeking franchisees in other centres around the country including Whangarei, Hamilton, Tauranga, Palmerston North, Wellington and Christchurch.

New Zealand Access business manager Eddie Hubbard says it is a unique opportunity for people who want to be at the leading edge of Access equipment hire and own their own business. "There are lots of other franchises out there in the food industry and home maintenance but so far as we know there is nothing like this in the equipment hire industry. The New Zealand Access franchise will be an ideal family business for say a husband and wife or father and son team."

Hubbard says for an investment of about $350,000 each franchisee will receive the New Zealand Access business template including 30 items of equipment worth about $2 million leased by Equipment Capital Group, a leasing company owned by New Zealand Crane Hire’s shareholders. The New Zealand Access franchise continues New Zealand Crane Hire’s focus on health and safety, reliability and learning.

CBD has promoted New Zealand Access by preparing and distributing news releases and photos and working with New Zealand Crane Hire on regional advertising and story ideas.
